Dauphin's Matt Greening Enjoying Blizz Time

Matt Greening played hockey in Dauphin from 2012 until the end of the 2016-2017 season, but now the Dauphin native is playing with the OCN Blizzard and is having lots of success.

"It's been really good so far," said Greening. "It's a winning community up here, so I'm definitely enjoying it."

Greening has played in 14 games this season for the Blizzard and has 10 points (two goals) to go along with 48 penalty minutes.

"I try to bring my best to the rink every day," said Greening. "And I have really good teammates that help me out on the ice."

Not only is Greening having success, but the Blizzard as a whole are enjoying a great start to the campaign.

Despite their loss last night, the team still sits in a tie for first place in the league with a 12-4-2 record.

"I think Doug Hedley did a great job of bringing players in," said Greening. "All the players have bonded really well, which takes pressure off of everyone."

The Blizzard are set for a first-place showdown tomorrow and Saturday against the Winkler Flyers in the Pas.
