Oil Capitals Hand Kings Fifth Straight Loss

The Dauphin Kings and Virden Oil Capitals have hooked up twice this season at the Tundra Oil and Gas Place, and the Oil Capitals have outscored the Kings 18-4 in that period, as they beat the Kings, 8-1 on Friday night in Virden.

1st Period

In a game where they recorded 52 shots, the Oil Capitals found themselves up, 2-0 after 20 minutes.

2nd Period

Matt Boren scored his first of the season for the Kings in the second, but it was outdone by four Oil Capital goals, as they led 6-1 after 40.

3rd Period

Two more goals late in the final period capped off the big win for Virden in their home barn.

The Kings and Oil Capitals meet once again tomorrow evening, this time at Credit Union Place. Puck drop is set for 7:30.
