Kings Welcome Blizzard

The Dauphin Kings snapped their six-game regulation losing streak on Tuesday night by picking up a point in an overtime loss against the Neepawa Natives, now the Kings will welcome the OCN Blizzard (13-5-2) to Credit Union Place tonight.

"I didn't like our first period," said Head Coach and GM of the Kings, Marc Berry. "I thought we got things going in the second and third, but we got into some penalty trouble, and I thought that was the turning point for us. I liked our effort overall, and we pushed right until the end."

Tonight's matchup will be the first meeting for both teams since September 26 when the Blizzard thumped Dauphin, 7-3.

"Both teams have changed quite a bit since then," said Berry. "It's going to be a bit of a feeling out process early, but we need to make sure we have a ton of urgency coming into the game and get our speed going really quick."

Tonight's game is the third of the Kings five-game homestand, that will continue tomorrow night against Winnipeg, and wrap up next Friday against Portage and puck drop is set for 7:30.
