Grandview's Morrisseau Enjoying Time With Pats

Grandview's Koby Morrisseau is in his second season playing in the WHL, and this year it's with the Regina Pats.

"It's been going good," said Morrisseau. "I've been developing more and more, and just trying to become a better hockey player."

This year is one of the biggest in the Pats history, as they will host the 2018 Mastercard Memorial Cup, and right now, the Pats are second place in the East Division with an 11-6-2 record.

"We're starting to come around," said Morrisseau. "We're starting to play as a team like we need to, and we're a happy group of guys."

Koby has played in 12 games for the Pats this season, and has two points (1G, 1A) and is a plus one so far.

"I'm just trying to compete as hard as I can," said Morrisseau. "I'm trying to show the coaches what I can bring to this team, so I can get into the lineup every day."

Playing in the WHL comes with some extremely long road trips, some two-weeks at a time, all of which are on a bus.

"It gets tiring for sure," said Morrisseau. "But the coaches give us time off on the road to just relax. In the end, you get used to it."

Morrisseau and the Pats are back in action this evening as they take on the Moose Jaw Warriors, who sit in first place, two points ahead of the Pats in the East.
