Blues Stun Kings, 2-1

In a game that looked like it was heading for overtime, the Winnipeg Blues ended up stunning the Kings, winning 2-1 on a late third-period goal.

1st Period

It didn't take the Kings long to grab a lead in the first, as, on their third shot of the game, Jaxon Heeney scored his second of the season to give the Kings a 1-0 lead, and that's where it stood after 20 minutes.

2nd Period

The Kings had a fantastic penalty kill in the second, but the Blues were able to score one even-strength goal to tie it up, and that's where the game stood after 40 minutes, as the Kings and Blues headed to the final 20 tied at one.

3rd Period

It was a relatively quiet third period, and it looked like it was headed for overtime, but the Blues scored at the 17:17 mark as they stunned the Kings, 2-1.

Game Facts

The Blues outshot the Kings, 44-22.
