Clippers Varsity Boys Volleyball off to Provincials!

The Dauphin Clippers varsity boys’ volleyball team are off to the Provincial Championships.

The team beat Swan River on Monday in the Zone Championships by a score of 25-19, 25-13, and 25-12.

“We sort of took the momentum we had from the weekend before in Portage,” said Taylor Schmidt, Head Coach of the team. “We played a lot of AAA teams, and so we learned what it took to play at a high level, and we definitely did in the game against Swan River.”

The team will now take part in the Championships that will be played in Brandon from November 30-December 2.

“We have team goals that we want to be there on Saturday,” said Schmidt. “We just need to give ourselves that opportunity by playing well. We know we can compete with some of the best teams, and now we just have to show it on the Thursday and Friday, so we can achieve our goal of making it to Saturday, and then we’ll go from there.”

730CKDM will provide scores throughout the Championship so keep it right here.
