Gilbert Plains Riese Gaber is in Western Michigan

It's an exciting week for Riese Gaber as he will spend the next couple of days in Western Michigan.

Gaber is set to join the Broncos in two seasons, and this week he will have a first class look at the facilities and Western Michigan in general.

"It's been unreal so far," said Gaber from Western Michigan. "Obviously everything here is first class. There is a rich history here, and the coaching staff is unreal. I've really been enjoying it so far."

Gaber has suited up in 22 games this season for the Kings and has 18 points and last year had 32 points in 42 games, and as he mentions, hockey never really stops for him.

"After the season, I'll take a couple weeks off but then I get right back in the gym," said Gaber. "I spent the summer last year training in Brandon so that will be an option again, and I can always get on the ice there, so that's a bonus and helps me stay in game shape."

Gaber will miss tomorrow's game against the Portage Terriers, but he is expected to return for Saturday's road game against the Neepawa Natives, and you can hear that game right here on 730CKDM beginning with the pregame show at 7:20 p.m.
