The Baja 1000 race is 1000 mile race using an off-road vehicle.
"They have different selections," said Alyson Sametz. "We’re in the UTV category, which most people call a side-by-side. You have 36 hours to complete the race, and if you don't, you basically just get pushed over the finish line."
At the last point, the team of Dykun, Puchailo, and Stoski were at the 400-mile mark, but the team did have a breakdown on the front end of the machine, which has forced the team to withdraw from the race.
"It's a very grueling race, for sure," said Sametz. ‘It’s very tough on the machine as well, that's for sure.
