The opening game of the World Series is tonight in Boston. The American League Champion Red Sox are playing host to the National League champion St. Louis Cardinals. This marks the fourth time these teams have met in a World Series. The Cards won the first two encounters before the Sox prevailed in 2004. Game time tonight is 6:30pm.

Detroit forward Daniel Alfredsson is expecting a lot of emotion in tonight's home game against Ottawa. It will be his first game against his former teammates since he left the Senators in the off-season. Alfredsson is averaging nearly a point a game with the Red Wings. Boston visits Buffalo in the other NHL contest.
