It's a quiet night in the NHL with only four games on the menu, but four Canadian clubs are in action. In Winnipeg it's a big game between the Jets and Vancouver Canucks. Both teams are six points back of the final playoff spot in the Western Conference. Meanwhile, Montreal entertains Boston, Calgary is home to Anaheim and Chicago visits Colorado.
Sad news from the OHL. Saginaw Spirit officials say Michigan police told them the body of missing player Terry Trafford was found yesterday. Team president Craig Goslin said Trafford was sent home prior to his disappearance "for a violation of rules", but that he hadn't been cut from the team. Trafford spent four seasons with the Spirit.
Brian McKeever has his second gold medal of the 2014 Paralympics. The visually impaired cross-country skier from Canmore, Alberta and guide Graham Nishikawa of Whitehorse plowed through more than 30 centimetres of fresh snow to finish first in the men's sprint today in Russia. It's McKeever's ninth career Paralympic gold.
The Dauphin Rec Hockey League is back at Credit Union Place tonight. Dauphin Co-op Agro faces Source for Sports at 8:15. That's followed by a contest between Hometown Auto Glass and Aspen Insurance at 9:30.
