Hockey Manitoba Provincials conclude this weekend with the Parkland Junior Rangers looking for gold in Portage. The WHL's Brandon Wheat Kings have two contests left in their season and most likely need three of a possible four points this weekend against the Regina Pats to advance to the Post Season. Coming into tonight Brandon is two points up on Prince Albert for the final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference.

The Winnipeg Jets and Vancouver Canucks are both outside of the playoff picture struggling to get back in. The Jets are 11th and on a five-game winless streak as they prepare to host the New York Rangers. Vancouver is 10th in the Western Conference heading into a game at Washington. A total of eight games in the NHL this evening.
