The WHL's most recent champions start their training camp today, looking to see who's in the reserves for continued success.

The rookies have been introduced, toured the Wheat Kings facilities, and now the real action begins.

The Wheat Kings rookie camp on-ice sessions begin today with over 70 prospects expected to attend, amoung them Parkland Bantam Ranger, Carter Cockburn from Swan River.

Cockburn was drafted in the 9th round by the hometown Wheat Kings in this year's WHL Bantam Draft.

All on-ice sessions at camp are open to the general public. Camp concludes Sunday with an intrasquad scrimmage. There is a small entrance fee for the scrimmage.

The Dauphin Kings start their M-J-H-L camp Thursday.
