One of the top Florida Panthers prospects will have a delayed start to their season.
Jayce Hawryluk broke his hand during a fight in a prospects game against the Washington Capitals.
Hawryluk decided to drop the gloves with Caps prospect Jakub Vrana. It was a one-sided tilt with Hawryluk landing some heavy hits, but suffered a broken hand as a result.
Hawryluk will now likely start the season with the AHL's new Springfield Thunderbirds.
