Dauphin's Sam Ryz will be heading out West, in early March, to take part in the Vancouver Rugby Festival, as a part of the U-16 women's Team Manitoba squad.
"It's definitely a good feeling that I've made it this far," said Ryz. "I'm super excited for the event."
Ryz will be one of three ladies from Dauphin that will be on the team that will head to Vancouver for the event, which features teams from around the country.
"We have to focus on working together," said Ryz. "It's going to be a very tough competition. And, for myself, I can just work on tackling and improving my skills."
The Festival runs from March 8-9 at the University of British Columbia.
