The Parkland Rangers scored three second-period goals, and led after 40 minutes, but they couldn't hold it this afternoon, as they lost, 6-5, in a shootout, against the Pembina Valley Hawks.
The Hawks scored three first-period goals, while Kurtis Luke added one for the Rangers, shorthanded.
It was the Carter Cockburn show, in the second period, as he scored three goals, for the Rangers, in the period, as the team led, 4-3, after 40.
The Hawks scored two in the third, to take a 5-4 lead but, with just over 2:30 left, Jaeger Lapointe tied-up the game.
Eventually, the Hawks picked up two points, with the shootout win.
