In just over two weeks, Dauphin's Karlee Ushkowski will be off to Vancouver with the U16 women's Manitoba Rugby team, as the team gets set to take part in the Vancouver Rugby Festival.
"This is my first year playing rugby, so it's an honour to make the team," said Ushkowski. "I really enjoy playing the sport."
Karlee joins Sam Ryz and Morgan Taffinder as the Dauphin girls on the team.
The Festival features provinces from across Canada, and kicks off on March 8th, and goes until the 9th.
"I'm really looking forward to travelling with the team," said Ushkowski. "And, of course, playing with all the ladies and just getting the chance to bond, and get better as a player."
All the games are played at the University of British Columbia.
