The Dauphin Kings came back from a one goal deficit twice, but Selkirk had the last punch as they scored with under two minutes left to beat the Kings, 3-2.
The Steelers opened the scoring just under midway into the opening frame, but Landon Lushanko tied the game for the Kings 17:08 into the game as the teams were tied after 20.
The Steelers scored the only goal in the second to lead, 2-1 after 40.
Kyle Oleksiuk tied the game up on the powerplay early in the third, but the Steelers scored with just 1:20 left in the game to earn two points.
The Kings are next back in action tomorrow night in Steinbach.
