Kurtis Luke recorded his 65th point of the season, and Carter Cockburn picked up his 61st, but it wasn’t near enough as Southwest beat the Rangers, 5-1.

Southwest jumped out to a 2-0 lead midway through the second, before Luke scored for the Rangers to cut the deficit in half as the Rangers trailed, 2-1 after 40.

The Cougars added three third-period goals to win the first half of a home and home between the clubs.

They will now play Sunday afternoon at Credit Union Place.
