After killing off a 5 on 3 in the first two minutes of the contest the Kings responded with two goals in the first period. Winnipeg would answer back with two of their own in the middle frame before the Kings retook the lead late in the period. In the third Winnipeg tied it up at three before the Kings tallied late on the Power Play to grab the two points.
Scoring for the Kings Thursday in order were Dylan Bredahl (12), Kirklan Lycar (15), Cody Nelson (7) and Ben Hull (15).
