Dauphin actually had a 2-0 lead in the late stages of the third period but Winkler battled back by scoring with just over a minute left. Then they awarded a penalty shot with less than two seconds to play, Scott Gall ended up scoring on it.
Despite the quick late comeback by Winkler, Dauphin bounced back and Riley Thiessen scored 33 seconds into overtime to get the Kings the extra point. Other goal scorers Sunday for Dauphin were Chance Thomas (16) and Rylan Freed (8).
