CKDM NEWS STAFF

Adam Sargent

I hail from Victoria, British Columbia, where I took broadcasting at Columbia Academy in Vancouver. As you might guess, I’m an über Canucks fan, and used to be the play-by-play announcer for the Victoria Grizzlies of the BCHL. I’m also an avid video gamer, and your winter is nothing like what I’m used to! If you have a news tip, don’t be afraid to call us at 638-9022, or fax at 638-8891. See you around the Parkland!

I’m the “Other Adam” in the newsroom – nice to meet you! Being a born Winnipegger means I can definitely handle the winter here and like many CKDM employees, I’m a graduate of the Academy of Broadcasting. Whether it’s the Habs or the Moose in the winter or the Bombers and Goldeyes in the summer, I’ve always got my ear tuned to my favourite sports teams. What I enjoy most about radio is being able to talk for a living and bringing up-to-date news to everyone in the Parkland.

Originally from Vancouver, I recently completed my broadcasting diploma at Columbia Academy, which included an internship at a sports department in Vancouver. I’ve been a play by play announcer and a colour commentator for junior and intermediate lacrosse as well as working as a public announcer for the Canada Cup. I’m an avid Hockey fan – I enjoy watching as many hockey games as I can to keep a full perspective of as many teams as possible. I’ve also played hockey all my life. Listen for me daily with the latest news updates.
