The Ste. Rose Celtics junior varsity boys' basketball team has brought a banner back home.

The team went a perfect 4-0 at the Hamiota tournament over the weekend to win the championship. In their first game, the Celtics hammered the host team as they won 54-14. They then hit the court against Arborg and came out with a 47-36 win.

The Celtics remained red-hot in their next game in a 67-29 dominating win against MacGregor and they capped off the event with a 14-point win against Arborg as they put up another 60 points. In their four games, Ste. Rose scored 228 points, 103 more than they allowed. 11 players make up this year's roster, seven of which are in grade nine.

Nathan Zadorozny is the team's head coach.

"My goal is to continue developing this young core for future years," he said. "We have a great group of players, they work extremely hard, and it showed this past weekend."

The Celtics will now host their home tournament this weekend with some of the top A/AA teams set to compete as well.
