Last weekend was a perfect one for Layne Stars.
Competing in the Seniors Division at Dakota Ojibway Tribal Council Treaty Days Celebration, the Stars won four games over a two-day period to claim the championship.
Two of the team's wins came on Saturday and they wrapped up the championship by winning two more games on Sunday and they only allowed two goals against. Shaq Houle was named the tournament's top defenseman.
