The Mavericks Rugby Club from the Parkland opened their season with a statement game.
In Winnipeg, the Mavericks led from start to finish and cruised to the finish line in a 70-0 win against the Wasps.
Nate Yuri, Scott Gower, Nick Searl, and Daniel Evans each had two tries in the big win. Matthew Zurba, Riley Keith, Conway Almas, and Cole Ames also all recorded a try apiece.
Ryan Dreger had five converts.
