Jayce Legaarden of Grandview and the rest of his teammates are set to defend the Turnbull Cup.

Jayce had one goal and one assist and the Winkler Flyers exploded for six goals in a dominant 6-2 win over the Waywayseecappo Wolverines on Saturday night. With the win, the league-leading Flyers have booked their berth to the Turnbull Cup playoffs, one year after winning the championship in a sweep over Steinbach.

The Flyers (35-7-3-1) have a one point lead over Steinbach for first place overall with the Flyers having two games in hand. Winkler has allowed a league-low 89 goals and in fact, it's not even close. Steinbach has given up the second-fewest (121) while Dauphin, who clinched a playoff spot on Friday, has given up 121.

Legaarden is having a phenomanal season, leading the Flyers in scoring with 24 goals while collecting 53 points, to sit sixth in league scoring. Winkler clinching brings the total to three as Steinbach also clinched.
