Clippers inside centre/scrum half expected to make transition to back 3 in AUS with Axewomen.

The Dauphin Clippers and Monique Coffey concluded their most successful season to date last weekend. They came up just short against the Souris Sabres in the provincial bronze medal game.

Coffey was an integral part of the Clippers success and will be a valuable addition to an already strong Axewomen's roster. Coffey will study kinesiology while attending Acadia University in Nova Scotia.

In the final Top 10 Canadian Interuniversity Sport rankings of the season Acadia's rugby program was ranked 7th of 27 teams across the nation.

The Axewomen won the Atlantic University Sport league title and competed at the national tournament but came up short in the 2nd consolation final.

Coffey's rugby season is not yet over, she will compete in the provincial all-star game in Winnipeg on Saturday.
