DVD OF ROLLING STONES' CUBAN CONCERT OUT NOVEMBER 11

 

The Rolling Stones' historic concert in Cuba in March will be released on D-V-D in November. ``Havana Moon'' captures their free outdoor concert in Havana from this past March.

U-S President Barack Obama became the first American president to visit Cuba in 88 years that same week. ``Havana Moon'' is out November 11th.

MARTY ROBBINS BOULEVARD

 

City officials in Glendale have named a street after late country star Marty Robbins. He was born in the Phoenix suburb in 1925. Glendale Mayor Jerry Weiers helped unveil the new sign near 58th Avenue on Monday, which would have been Robbins' 91st birthday. He died in December 1982 at age 57 in Nashville, after suffering a heart attack.

BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN RELEASES LIFE STORY

 

Fans camped out overnight in Bruce Springsteen's hometown to be the first to buy his new autobiography from Springsteen himself. Springsteen made an appearance yesterday at the Barnes and Noble in Freehold, New Jersey, to promote his book, ``Born To Run.'' Fans stood at least three hours in line to spend about 15 seconds each with Springsteen. Barnes and Noble says 2,000 copies were sold that day.

DRONE SMACKS FLESH-N-BONE IN FACE

 

Flesh-N-Bone of Bone Thugs-n-Harmony appears to be OK after being nailed in the face with a drone while on stage. The group was performing in Victorville, California, on Sunday when the drone hit him. Flesh-N-Bone winced and grabbed his head, but he did not stop the song. It's not certain who was operating the drone.

PRINCE MEMORIALS REMOVED AT PAISLEY PARK

 

The memorials to Prince that fans have put outside his Paisley Park estate are going away. W-C-C-O-T-V in Minneapolis reports Paisley Park staffers have removed items like artwork and flowers that have been outside the estate since Prince died in April. The city of Chanhassen, Minnesota, and Paisley Park management say the memorials are creating traffic problems and risks to pedestrians. They have asked for fans not to put anything new near the fence. Paisley Park will open for tours next week.

JASON ALDEAN WONDERS WHY HE WAS SHUT OUT OF CMAS

 

Jason Aldean admits he likes to win. That's why he's confused he didn't get a single nomination for this year's Country Music Association Awards. His new album, ``They Don't Know,'' was not eligible this year, but he could have been nominated for entertainer of the year or male vocalist. Aldean says it's weird he could be named the Academy of Country Music entertainer of the year but get shut out of the C-M-As. Aldean says any nominee feels like he or she has a shot at winning, but if he can't get enough votes for a nomination, he's definitely not going to win anyway.

BASTILLE GET KELLY LEBROCK'S HELP ON ``GOOD GRIEF''

 

Even if you have never seen ``Weird Science,''

Bastille feel that Kelly LeBrock brings a sense of familiarity to their song ``Good Grief.'' LeBrock quickly gave permission for Bastille to sample her for the song ``Good Grief.'' Singer Dan Smith says LeBrock even offered to come perform the song with them at some point. Smith says he'd love to take her up on that but ``she seems to have changed her number since she said yes.''

GARTH BROOKS CELEBRATES SEVEN DIAMOND AWARDS

 

Garth Brooks' celebration for his latest milestone looked like a sports team celebrating a championship win.

Brooks and his crew sprayed champagne on each other backstage after his show last weekend in Fresno, California, to mark Brooks' seventh diamond award from the Recording Industry Association of America. A diamond award is equal to ten times platinum. Brooks is the first act to earn seven diamond awards. Brooks and his crew wore safety goggles and were drenched in champagne. His wife, Trisha Yearwood, got a cream pie to the face. The video is on Brooks' website.

ADELE GETS DIAMOND FOR ``25''

 

It took less than a year for Adele to get a diamond award for her ``25'' album. Adele received her award Monday night after her New York concert. The Recording Industry Association of America grants diamond awards to recordings that reach ten times platinum. That used to mean sales of 10-million but now includes streaming data. Technically, ``25'' has only sold nine-million copies in the U-S, according to Nielsen Music, but streaming equivalents are calculated in the 10-million count.

SELENA GOMEZ GETS 100-MILLIONTH INSTAGRAM FOLLOWER

 

Selena Gomez is the first person to get 100 million followers on Instagram. Her nearest competition is Taylor Swift, with 91-point-4 million followers, and Beyonce, with 85.3 million. It's not like Gomez has been a prolific poster lately, either. Her last posting was a photo of her onstage six weeks ago.

Gomez said last month she was taking a break to deal with issues related to her lupus.

STYX WILL SING ANTHEM BEFORE ``SUNDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL''

 

Styx will perform the national anthem on Sunday before the Steelers-Chiefs game. The game will be carried live on N-B-C's ``Sunday Night Football.''
