Police say, on October 6th at approximately 3:10 am WPS responded to the 300 block of Springfield regarding a serious assault, where an individual was found suffering critical injuries consistent with being stabbed.

The 23-year-old Scott later died of his injuries in hospital.

Police have charged, 28-year-old Christopher Blair McDougall with second-degree murder and assault causing bodily harm.

He is currently in custody.
