Set Your DVR/CBC

Set your DVRs, Tragically Hip fans, because the airing of Saturday's big show is a one-time deal.

CBC says the live broadcast of ``The Tragically Hip: A National Celebration'' will not be re-aired on television or made available through any of its on-demand platforms.

That means unless you're recording it, you'll be out of luck for an encore presentation.

The Kingston, Ont., stop on the ``Man Machine Poem'' tour will be available on an array of CBC platforms, including its main network, CBC Radio One, the CBC website and its YouTube and Facebook channels.

Many expect the band's hometown concert could be their last show as lead singer Gord Downie faces terminal brain cancer.

Jennifer Dettman, executive director of unscripted content at CBC, says the broadcaster wants this to be a national event in real time.

Trudeau Tragically Hip

Justin Trudeau plans to join Tragically Hip fans Saturday night in Kingston, Ont., as they pay tribute to the prolific Canadian rock band.

Trudeau spokeswoman Kate Purchase says the prime minister has tickets to the last stop on the ``Man Machine Poem'' summer tour.

Many consider this to be the final show for the Hip as lead singer Gord Downie faces terminal brain cancer.

Tickets sold out almost immediately as fans raced to get seats and faced off against scalpers who used complex bot programs to grab extra tickets and sell them at a marked-up price.

The concert will be broadcast on CBC television, radio and through digital platforms, and many fans have already planned viewing parties across the country. Some communities have also set up public screenings in parks and arenas.

Trudeau wasn't sure whether he would make it to a Hip tour stop when asked in June. He said he was lucky enough to see the band perform at many concerts, and has met Downie several times.

Kanye West to open 21 'Pablo' pop up stores worldwide

Kanye West fans can buy a taste of ``The Life of Pablo'' this weekend following the rapper-turned-fashion mogul's announcement of 21 pop-up stores worldwide that will be open just this weekend.

West tweeted a map with red dots indicating the stores' locations Wednesday night. Fourteen of the stores will be in major cities in the U.S.

West appears to be expanding the pop-up store concept following a successful run at a New York City location in March. The New York Daily News reports shoppers lined up for blocks to snatch a piece of clothing inspired by ``Pablo,'' West's latest album. A recycled Levis jacket customized by West was on sale at the store for $400.
