Several Parkland baseball players came up short yesterday in their first game at the 18U provincials against Bonivital.
Playing on Team Midwest, Bonivital came out on top 7-6.
After a scoreless first inning, Austin Storey hit a triple which saw Brayden Lavallee score.
Bonivital would storm right back with thre runs and they led 7-4 going into the sixth.
In that inning, Austin Storey hit a single and scored on a wild pitch to trim the deficit.
Trailing 7-5 in the seventh, Wyatt Tweet started things off with a double and he scored to bring Midwest within one.
In the end, that was as close as they would get.
They continue their round-robin against North Winnipeg and Oildome today.
