It was a perfect ending to what was a perfect few days for the Dauphin Clippers as they capped off the Lone Star Invitational this afternoon in Dallas by beating Denton County 4-2 in the Championship final.

The Clippers earned a berth in the finals by winning four straight games, including the semifinal this morning, 6-0.

Then in the finals, the Clippers opened up a 3-0 lead thanks to Drayson Kruk, Logan Storey, and Riley Hammond. Denton County would attempt a come back with two straight goals, but Jacob Goodine sealed the game 7:06 into the third as the Clippers will come back to the Parkland as Champions.

In their five games, the Clippers outscored opponents 25-7.

The Clippers continue their Westman High School Hockey league season this Sunday when they head to Virden.
