The Bantam Parkland Rangers capped off their season with a bang, as they won the Bronze Medal at the Rural Provincial Championships that were played in Wawanesa and Killarney this weekend.
After falling in the semifinal this morning to Southwest, the Rangers were set up for a rematch with the rival Yellowhead Chiefs and, for the second time in the tournament, the Rangers got the best of the Chiefs, 3-2.
Tyson Zimmer once again was the leader for the Rangers scoring two goals. Russell's Josh Thompson played hero for the Rangers, as he scored the game-winning goal with Zimmer notching the only assist on the marker.
