The Dauphin Clippers are back in preparation mode a day after eliminating the Deloraine Colts from the playoffs with a 2-1 win at Credit Union Place.

"It was a big character builder for our club," said Trevor Robak, Head Coach of the Clippers.

The Clippers lost the first game of the series on home ice this past Friday and had to win on the road which they did, before winning last night as well.

"We've been talking to the boys for some time that we can never give up," said Robak. "We just have to stay positive throughout, and that's what we did and that's why we had success and won the series."

Dauphin is now set for a best-of-three against the Killarney Raiders which begins on Thursday.

"We really focused on creating turnovers at Deloraine's blue line, so we need to continue that," said Robak. "We changed how we attack offensively, and we were producing more quality chances and we moved the puck well.  If we continue that, we should have a legitimate shot at moving on."

The first drop of the puck for the Raiders and Clippers goes at 7:30 at Credit Union Place on Thursday.

Here's the schedule for the series:

March 1 - 7:30 p.m. - Credit Union Place

March 2 - 7:00 p.m. - Killarney

March 3 - 8:30 p.m. - Credit Union Place
