It wasn't the result they wanted, but the Dauphin Kings battled to the last minute in a 6-2 loss to Virden that ended their season tonight. 

Both teams went back and forth with chances in the first 17 minutes of the first, but then Virden capitalized on their chances with four goals in the periods last three minutes to lead 4-0 after 20.

Brendan Arnold scored his first of the game midway through the second to trim the deficit to 4-1 after 40.

Arnold scored his second of the game on a breakaway in the third to trim the deficit to 4-2, but that's as close as the Kings would come. 

Virden added two more goals, one being an empty net to pick up the two points and clinch the second spot heading into playoffs.
