Dauphin's courthouse
Manitoba's newest provincial judge is a Parklander at heart.

Todd Rambow was appointed yesterday as a provincial judge in Thompson.

He says he's pretty excited about it.

"It's something that I've wanted to do for a long time, and I've always kind of regarded it as the pinnacle of my legal career if I could achieve it, so I'm pretty happy about it."

Judge Rambow was born in Alberta and moved to Ste. Rose from BC when he was 10. He says Ste. Rose is and always will be home for him.

He also worked in Swan River for about nine years, doing a variety of different things.

"I did criminal defence work, I did civil litigation, I did family law, and towards the end I started doing real estate and wills. And during that time I was affiliated with Johnston & Company out of Dauphin, as an associate and then as a partner, and then for the last three or so years of my time in Swan River I ran my own firm."

Judge Rambow has served as a senior Crown attorney in The Pas for the past 10 years.
