Sifton's Kelton Amendt will be competing in six events at the Manitoba Winter Games in Thompson when his events starts on March 7.

"I'm really looking forward to the 50M breaststroke, and the 100M IM," said Kelton. "I'm really excited to go to the Games."

Kelton has prior Games experience, after competing in the Manitoba Summer Games in 2016.

"That was a great experience," said Kelton. "Now I can't wait to experience the Winter Games, and meet some new people."

The 13-year-old just recovered from an injury, but he isn't making that an excuse heading into the Games.

"I've been training really hard," said Kelton. "So, I'm hoping it all pays off."

Kelton also notes he's ready to swim his best.
