A month after the team announced they will be returning for at least one more season, the OCN Blizzard are onto the MJHL League Final.
The Blizzard swept the Winkler Flyers in their second round series in 4 straight games, with game 4 being a 6-2 decision for the Blizzard in front of a home town crowd.
Head Coach Doug Hedley describes the feeling of moving onto the league final.
"It's always a good feeling to win. It's something the guys have put a lot of work in this year, and we've been through a little adversity off the ice as it's been well documented. They focused on what we can control, and I'm really proud of the way they've responded in the playoffs and actually the second half of the season has been outstanding. Just the work ethic and the buying-in, and guys moving up and down the line up and finding difference makers every night."
The Blizzard now await their final round opponent as the Portage Terriers and Steinbach Pistons series continues.
